Keith Buckhault will be taking his talents on the baseball field to the next level in 2013 when he joins the Cleveland State Cougars.

On Thursday Buckhault signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Cleveland State (TN).

Buckhault was a leader on and off the field for the Eastside Eagles and was a big part of their successful 22-6 season this year. Buckhault amassed 41 hits this season, including a team-high 11 doubles along with six home runs.

He finished the year with a batting average of .482, playing in all 28 games and 165 innings at third base throughout the season, but also displayed his versatility by moving to shortstop and second base as needed.

Throughout his three year varsity career with Eastside Buckhault maintained a .461 batting average with 18 homeruns and 79 RBI. The Eastside Eagles compiled a record of 61-29 while Buckhault was a member of the squad.

Keith is supported by his proud parents Keith and Loquita Buckhault, brother Drew Buckhault and grandmother Pat Dimsdale as well as Eastside Baseball Coach Brad Weir.
