With Newton, Eastside and Alcovy soccer all off for Spring Break, Eastside baseball represented the athletes of the week this week. Gray Ritchey (left), Nick Womack (middle) and Jared Jones (right) all had a pretty great week for Eagle baseball. Ricthey pitched on Thursday and threw a complete game, allowed just three scattered hits, one unearned run and threw seven strikeouts to earn a 6-1 win against Walnut Grove. In two games against Walnut Grove, Nick Womack, who finished the two-game series 4-7 and an HBP with three RBI and three runs. Jared Jones was just as special. He finished the series 4-6 with two walks, one run and three RBI.
