The teams playing will be the Atlanta Wildcats, the Southwest Warriors ABA Team, the Gainesville Heat ABA team and the Atlanta Police Department basketball team.

"We're going to do great things this season for the school and in Rockdale County this year," William D. Payton IV, owner of the Wildcats, said. "...The school is offering us a lot of support and we'll be able to return the favor from hosting fundraising games and giving back a portion of ticket sales to the athletic department."

The season opener is scheduled for November 29, versus the Gainesville Heat. The Wildcats' website (atlantawildcats.com) will be updated with the start time and the finalized season schedule as the season gets closer.

The Wildcats' will have their first free-agent tryout camp August 23, 1 p.m. at Salem. For more information call 404-951-2721.

The Wildcats will host charity games, fundraising events and community service projects in Rockdale and Newton County this year. Last year, the team went undefeated, ranking fourth in the league out of 98 teams in the United States.
