Welcome to Your Weekend: Here Comes the Sun
Lucy

Here comes the sun. Do do do do. Here comes the sun. Do do do do. And I say, it's all right.

George Harrison sure did sing it right. Here comes that fabulous Georgia sunshine. March is the month of transition from the winter cold to the beautiful, warm southern spring we all know and love. In March we look forward to new cherry blossoms, daffodils, St. Patrick's Day, NCAA March Madness, the beginning of festival season and Justin Bieber's birthday. (He's still cool right?)

When you're not chillin' out on the couch watching basketball, get out and experience some of the many events happening this weekend. Now that winter is fading away, there is so much more to see and do in our area. March over to Midtown for the annual Atlanta St. Patrick's Day Parade. The whole family will enjoy the clowns, floats, dancers, music and fun and hopefully capture some of the luck of the Irish. Want to do something positive for our community? Stay local and sign up for the Rock on Rockdale 5K to raise support for the Special Olympics. You'll get your weekend exercise while helping many of our local children and adults with disabilities. Escape reality for a day and pretend you are socializing with friends at an English garden party as you play in the Cherry Blossom Charity Croquet Tournament at Oxford Emory. Luuuuuuucy! A fun date night awaits you at the Cobb Energy Centre for I Love Lucy Live. Desi, Lucy, Fred and Ethel will take you back to 1952 and bring you the hilarious antics you remember from the classic TV show. Need something for the whole family? Check out a screening of James and the Giant Peach at the Centre for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta. In addition to the show, admission to the Centre's exhibits is included.
