Well, the holiday season has progressed, leaving us all in food comas from Thanksgiving and looking forward to Christmas. Surprisingly, the past few days have been warmer than usual. My recommendation is to wear layers so if the heat gets to be to much for your ideally winter attire, you'll be able to peel them off quickly.
If you're in the mood to be outside and subject to the ever-changing climate that is Georgia, there's a few things around town you should check out, like the Winter Music Recital at Trinity Chapel or the Great American School Fund-raising Gift Sale at the Georgia International Horse Park, and of course let's not forget the annual Hometown Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting, all happening on Saturday.
If you're as excited as I am by Christmas decorations, mark down Sunday on your calendars for the annual Pilot Club Tour of Homes, an event where you are able to see local residents' homes all spruced up for the big day.
If you're looking a little past local and inside is more your style, Madeline's Christmas based on the beloved childhood classic begins this Saturday in Atlanta, as well as Aso Kid's Christmas, a play for kids of holiday cheer, BY kids of holiday cheer! Dancing, singing and a full youth orchestra are only a few things you have to look forward to at this event that is showing on Sunday.
For the adults, Dad's Garage is hosting It's a Wonderful Laugh through Dec. 20, which is a parody on the old time favorite, It's a Wonderful Life.
Welcome to your weekend.
