Thousands came to the Georgia International Horse Park on Saturday for the Merril Down and Dirty 5K and 10K runs.

More than 250 people volunteered from civic groups, churches and businesses cleaned the county's rivers and lakes Satruday morning as part of the annual "Rivers Alive" event sponsored by Keep Conyers-Rockdale Beautiful. Volunteers were treated to lunch at Pine Log Park and received a T-shirt for partipating.
