An employee of Walmart on Salem Road left his back pack in the back room, where it was found by the store’s manager.

Per company policy the manager put the back pack in the loss prevention office. According to reports, the loss prevention officer searched inside the back pack and found suspected drugs and numerous other items belonging to the employee.

The employee later returned looking for the back pack, and spoke with deputies about his lost property.

After being asked to come back to the Sheriff’s office, the employee spoke with an investigator on his own free will, according to reports.

After further investigation, the employee was arrested and charged with numerous drug related charges.
