A Veteran's Day Ceremony was held at the Walk of Heroes in Black Shoals Park in Rockdale County. The keynote speaker is CSM Ronald T. Riling, Command Sergeant Major, U.S. Army Forces Command. The American Legion Post 77 Color Guard will present the colors at 11 a.m. Dignitaries also include Richard Oden, Rockdale County Commission Chairman, Norman Wheeler,Walk of Heroes Board of Directors and former commission chairman, Gene Windham, District Governor of Georgia Rotary District 6910, Chuck Koons, Commander VFW post 5290 in Conyers and Jr. Vice-Commander, GA VFW 3rd district, Tommy Clack, veterans services director, Mike Hilleboe, president of the Conyers Rotary club, and Tom Harrison, president of the Rockdale Rotary Club.
