The woman killed in a single car accident Thursday afternoon has been identified as 46-year-old Kimberly Pippin of Covington.

Authorities are still investigating Pippin's death, which occurred around 4 p.m. Thursday on Gum Creek Road at the Gum Creek Landing subdivision.

According to Pippin's obituary, she attended Gaithers United Methodist Church and The Church at Covington. She enjoyed spending time with family and her dog Zsha Zsha, who died with her.

(Aug. 31, 2:30 p.m.) Authorities are still investigating the death of an as-yet unidentified female, killed in a single car accident around 4 p.m. Thursday.

The woman died on Gum Creek Road at the Gum Creek Landing subdivision in Newton County. Her name is being withheld pending notification of family.
