UPDATE: Shantel Crew was spotted Wednesday morning by an alert resident. The 14-year-old has been safely reunited with her family.

(Oct. 15, 10:09 p.m.) Police are looking for a 14-year-old runaway who left a note at the library saying she was running away.
Shantel Crew left Nancy Guinn Library Tuesday at 11 a.m. on foot. She was heading towards Green Street and possibly towards the Olde Town area. Inside the library, the home-schooled student left a note that said she was running away.
Police said Shantel's mother wants her daughter to know that she is not angry with her and just wants her to come home.
Crew was wearing a black jacket with pink Adidas stripes down the sleeves, pink shirt with flowers on it underneath, black sweatpants, and white shoes. She is wearing glasses and has her hair pulled back into a pony tail with twists on the right side and has short bangs to one side.
She is 5-feet 1-inch tall and weighs about 110 pounds. She does not have a cell phone and does not have any money.
