Traffic flowing again on I-20 eastbound after pileup
photos-025

The accident that tied up I-20 for a short while Thursday afternoon reportedly started as an SUV rear ended another vehicle, starting off a chain reaction that involved four cars, according to a CPD spokesperson.

Another car that witnessed the accident and was reportedly dodging debris also crashed when they hit a side wall.

Shortly after those crashes, another two vehicles got into a fender bender in the ensuing traffic.

Earlier, Georgia DOT's Traffic Navigator website had reported eight cars were involved in the crash, but only seven cars have been confirmed to be involved.
