Mr. Tommy Ellis, 60, of Oxford passed away Oct. 22, at his home. He was born Nov. 29, 1951 in Atlanta to Harvey and Peggy Matthews Ellis.

Mr. Ellis loved woodworking, coin collecting and NASCAR. His was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather whose favorite thing to do was spend time with his family.

Mr. Ellis is survived by his wife Susan Ellis, his daughter and son-in-law Becky and Charles Wilson of Oxford, his sons and daughters-in-law Doug and Monica Ellis and Clint and Krystal Ellis all of Covington along with 10 grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brothers and sister-in-law Frank and Debbie Ellis of Covington and Jimmy Ellis of Oxford; his sisters and brother-in-law Judy and Russell Oglesby of Eatonton and June Stephens of Monticello along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.

Graveside services for Mr. Ellis were held at the Cornish Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Travis Price officiating.

The family received friends at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, Covington, Oct. 23.
