An 18-year-old driver was reportedly hospitalized after a serious single-car accident in Rockdale Tuesday, April 20.

The accident, which reportedly occurred on Tucker Mill Road near Deer Hollow Road, was called in around 7:51 a.m. that morning, according to the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office.

The vehicle, a Chevrolet S-10, was reportedly traveling north on Ebenezer Road when the driver, 18-year-old Josh Norton, lost control, struck a mailbox and then crashed into a power pole. The driver was found unconscious and bleeding from the head.

Norton was reportedly life-flighted to Atlanta Medical Center where he was later released with minor injuries.
