The annual Miss Westbury Pageant (Sweethearts of Westbury) took place on February 16. The eight contestants were Lillie McIntosh, Zadie Peck, Shirley Santos, Paulette Heitz, Mildred Speaks, Elsie Banks, Mary Goddard, Mary Harper. These ladies had a wonderful time with Master of Ceremonies, County Commission Chairman Richard Oden, and judges from the community, Sylvia Coria-GHCA Executive Asst., Debbie Krishner- City of Conyers, Pam Dorman- Executive Director of Magnolias ALF, Melissa Pugh-Bloodworth - Rockdale Senior Services. These judges had the hardest job of the evening. The dietary staff had a fabulous reception following the crowning of Miss Westbury.
