Rockdale county investigators have arrested an Atlanta man in connection with last week's fatal shooting at Brandon Glen apartments.

Jokari Jontue Carter, 24, of Atlanta was arrested and charged with murder and giving false statements. Investigators took Carter into custody on Wednesday night.

Deputies were called out to the Brandon Glen apartment complex off Sigman Road because of shots being fired around 4 a.m. Oct. 7, according to a report. They found Stewart Elvin Tabb, Jr. lying face down in the grass with multiple gunshot wounds and called emergency medical personnel. The victim was taken to Rockdale Medical Center where he later died of his wounds, according to RCSO spokesperson Jodi Shupe.

Carter remains in the Rockdale County Jail with no bond.
