UPDATE: The CPD has taken down the perimeter they had previously set up in Olde Town. They believe the suspect fled the area as the perimeter had been established. The incident began with a routine traffic stop. The suspect fled his automobile during the stop next to the Rockdale County courthouse, near Judge David Irwin’s office. Police followed the suspect, but lost contact in Carter Alley.
(Original Post) The Conyers Police Department have set up a perimeter in Olde Town Conyers as they search for a suspect who fled from a traffic stop.
From a police notification: "Police are searching for a dark-skinned black male wearing dark jeans and a red shirt in the Olde Town area who ran from a traffic stop.
Officers lost contact with the subject in Carters Alley. Witnesses reported seeing him in the woods behind Michaelangelo's, then behind the library. The suspect may be wearing iPod earbuds."
