If you look around you or check your pockets, chances are there is something nearby that is powered by batteries. When those batteries lose their charge, Batteries Plus, located in Conyers, has the solutions to your portable power source problems.

"If it takes batteries, we have it, or can get it," said Mac Bailey, Conyers store manager.

Batteries Plus offers a vast array of different battery types for all forms of electronic items, tools, automobiles and trucks, as well as accessories such as cellphone chargers and flashlights.

"We’re a lot more than just batteries," said Christi Paine, area manager of Batteries Plus. "People need to come in and see what we have."

They also offer services such as battery recycling and battery rebuilding and installation services. Batteries Plus also offers business rates for commercial customers and will perform consultations with business regarding their battery and power needs.

Even before Batteries Plus opened their Conyers store in August this year, residents were knocking on the doors.

In a particular incident, Paine described a customer who rushed into the store looking to purchase a replacement watch battery while the store was still undergoing pre-opening renovations.

"We didn’t even have cash registers yet," Paine said.

Batteries Plus is currently have a series of special promotions this month, including a $4.99 watch battery installation and $9.99 cordless telephone battery replacement offer. There is also a $10 mail-in-rebate on camera batteries. The promotions offered are constantly changing.
