The U.S. Official Sportacus, the Superhero from the global television hit "LazyTown" (as seen daily on Nick Jr.), will make an exclusive appearance at the Mall at Stonecrest on Saturday, March 20 during the mall's annual 2010 Summer Camp Expo Sportacus will appear in person at 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. in three live stage events to promote healthy eating and a daily physical activity program for children. Each show will feature a meet and greet, so bring the kids and camera. Sportacus' goal is to help kids to lead a healthy lifestyle. With childhood obesity at an all-time high, LazyTown is the perfect solution for preschoolers as it emphasizes healthy eating and physical activity. "LazyTown" puts a spotlight on the health issue through positive character role models and substantive storylines, and the show uses CGI, puppetry, and live characters in a brightly colorful setting to make sure the message is also entertaining.

The character Sportacus exemplifies everything healthy and wholesome. He gets to bed on time, and he maintains a clean and neat home. Sugary foods deflate him, but fruits and vegetables are the "sports candy" that gives Sportacus energy to save the townspeople from various entanglements. He quickly leaps, flips and bounds to the rescue whenever he is alerted that someone in "LazyTown" might be in trouble, and he is rarely seen without a huge smile on his face.
