A 27-year-old female driver was flown by medical helicopter to an Atlanta area hospital after her Chevy Impala flipped in a single-vehicle accident on Ga. Highway 212 and East Mill Way, according to the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office.
Around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, the driver was reportedly attempting to pass traffic in a double-yellow-line, no-pass zone. She reportedly swerved to avoid oncoming traffic and flipped, hitting a power pole.
The driver was reportedly initially trapped and going in and out of conciousness. Later, before being flown by helicopter to the hospital from a landing site at Heritage Hills Baptist church parking lot, she was reportedly walking.
