A warrant has been issued for a second man authorities believe responsible for the May 28 armed robbery at Bailey's Food Pride on Salem Road.

Javonte Demarcus Norfleet, 18, of Conyers has a warrant for his arrest in connection with the robbery.

Another man, 19-year-old Traion West, of Covington was arrested the day of the robbery. He was charged with armed robbery, obstruction and loitering and prowling. A K-9 deputy located him on Sunflower Lane, near Bailey's Food Pride on Salem Road - the area where the robbery occurred.

Dispatch began receiving calls from residents in the area about a suspicious black male ringing doorbells, his description matched the one given by the clerk at the store. When deputies initially tried to make contact with West, he fled, throwing money down.

The investigation into the second suspect continues. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Newton County Sheriff's Office at (678) 625-1400 or online at www.newtonsheriffga.org. Tips can be given anonymously.
