Salem High School is still looking for a new logo but will wait until the class of 2015 comes through the doors as freshmen before taking a final vote.

"We haven’t completed the contest because we wanted the freshmen to be involved," said Principal Tonya Bloodworth.

The high school held a call for ideas in April after Florida State University sent a cease and desist letter to the Rockdale County Public School system for Salem and Memorial Middle School to stop using and remove the Seminoles mascot from its uniforms, buildings, and property.

Ideas were submitted from students as well as the art department. The ideas were posted in the school lobby and office during spring.
