Rockdale Rotary installs new President

The Rockdale Rotary bid adieu to outgoing president David Cooper and welcomed incoming president Ashley Roessler in the annual installation ceremony Thursday, June 28, at Cherokee Run. Tearful thanks and touching speeches, along with plenty of wisecracks, filled the evening as members were recognized for their service.

Outgoing Rockdale Rotary President David Cooper bestowed to incoming President Ashley Roessler one last gift at the end of the night - a silver dollar given to him by the late community leader and National EMS founder Pat Atkins - during the installation banquet.

Robby Atkins and Pat's wife Mary Ellen were on hand to give out the "Pat Atkins Service Above Self" award to Margie Ensley.
