Delaney Willette of the Rockdale Riptides swim team advanced to the 2013 Eastern Section of the Southern Zone (ESSZ) 14 & Under Age Group Sectional Championship Meet.

She will participate in the Meet this weekend, March 7 – 10 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro in North Carolina. The meet will include qualifying swimmers from nine states:  West Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama and the panhandle of Florida.

Willette has qualified to swim 11 events: 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle, 50 Backstroke, 100 Backstroke, 200 Backstroke, 50 Breaststroke, 100 Breaststroke, 100 Butterfly, 100 Individual Medley and 400 Individual Medley.  She has chosen to swim the maximum number of events that the meet allows, which is eight, over all four days of the meet:  swimming the 400 IM on Thursday, the 200 Free, 100 IM and 200 Back on Friday, 100 Free and 50 Back on Saturday, and the 50 Free and 100 Back on Sunday.
