The Rockdale County Democratic Party will hold a candidates' forum next Saturday, June 26, at 8:45 a.m. at the JP Carr Center at 981 Taylor Street.

Confirmed participants include 4th Congressional District candidates Congressman Hank Johnson, Vernon Jones, and Connie Stokes; Senate District 17 candidates Nicholas Day and Jim Nichols; State House District 94 candidates Andrew Bostic, Dar'shun Kendrick, Rhonda Peek, and Sherri Washington; House District 95 candidates State Rep. Toney Collins, Bill Andrea Cooper, and Pam Dickerson; and Rockdale County Commission Post 2 candidates Courtney Dillard and Caycie Dix.

"We believe everybody should be politically aware," said party Vice President Elaine Davis-Nickens. "We should know who we're voting for, what they stand for. If we don't how can we hold them accountable."

Panelists for this forum are Stan Williams, RCDP chair, Valerie Morgan, editor of On Common Ground News, Michelle Kim, editor of the Rockdale News and Jay Jones, editor of the Rockdale Citizen.
