RMC Auxiliary awards Volunteens Scholarships

Rockdale Medical Center's Volunteer Auxiliary awarded educational scholarships to two students from Rockdale Career Academy, Anthony Jackson and Lilia Perju, on July 24. Each was awarded $1,000 in financial assistance to their selected. Jackson and Perju participated in the 2014 and 2015 Volunteen Program at RMC, gaining first-hand experience in the healthcare field. These students successfully completed both the 2014 and 2015 summer programs, as well as completed additional service hours during their school vacation breaks to accumulate 100 service hours of volunteering. The purpose of the Volunteen Program is to allow students from Rockdale Career Academy enrolled in the Health Care Pathway to experience working in a hospital setting.
