Rev. Stanley W. Cheeley, age 90 of Conyers, died Thursday, January 27, 2011.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Inez L. Cheeley; daughter, Glenda Powell; 6 brothers; 1 sister.  He is survived by his wife, Frances Cheeley, Conyers; daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Charles Reynolds, Stockbridge, Ellen and Lamar Sorrells, Walnut Grove; stepson and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Carol Ingle, Greensboro; grandchildren, Craig Reynolds, Glen Reynolds, Amanda Morris, Josh Morris, Chesley Hutchinson; 13 great-grandchildren.  Rev. Cheeley was a Baptist minister for over 50 years serving numerous churches in the greater Atlanta area.  He was the founder of Highview Baptist Church.  His radio ministry, Big Gun, aired in Winder and Covington and he served in the prison ministries in DeKalb, Fulton and Rockdale Counties.  After retiring from General Motors with 30 1/2 years of service he had a lawnmower shop.  He lived most of his life in the Salem and Klondike Communities in DeKalb County.  Rev. Cheeley was a veteran of the United States Army.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 3 p.m. at Scot Ward's Harry White Chapel with Dr. John Beyers and Rev. Dan Brokaw officiating; interment will follow at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, 6897 S.
