Conyers police are looking for a male suspect who attempted to rob the Texaco Food Mart at 1801 Ga. Highway 138 on Saturday, Feb. 9.

Around 10:10 p.m., the suspect, described as a black male about 6 feet tall and 160 pounds, came into the store. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, gray knit cap with tassels and a brown scarf covering his face.

He jumped on the counter and attempted to rob the cashier at gunpoint.

The cashier was able to flee and the suspect was unable to open the cash register. 

The suspect then fled on foot to a hatchback vehicle parked at a nearby business.
