Police hunt for armed robber that struck Chevron gas station

Conyers police are on the lookout for an armed robber that struck a Chevron gas station early Wednesday morning.

An employee of the Chevron gas station at 1135 Sigman Road was was opening the store around 5:30 a.m. when they were ambushed by the suspect.

The suspect hit the employee in the head twice with a black pistol and demanded money.

The suspect then fled on foot heading towards Rockdale Medical Center. The suspect is described as a 6-foot 2-inch black male with a slim build, wearing a black hooded jacket.
