Pocket Devotional: Infinity and Beyond

I plopped the pickle jar full of Hot Wheel Cars in the middle of the carpet. Twenty squirmy five year olds huddled around the treasure and shouted their guesses. "Wow, there must be 50!" "No, it’s 1000!" "No, you’re wrong, there’s infinity!"

Silence. Then, the Toy Story fan explained, "Well, really, it’s infinity and beyond."

We talked about this funny sounding word and what it meant. It’s a pretty hard concept, even for adults.

I think that’s why I love looking up at the stars on clear nights. They just seem to go on forever. It’s incredible to think that the Lord of all made this breathtaking universe and still is here for me. Simply amazing.

I feel so humbled to know that God has made plans for me. His love is true, faithful and infinite.

‘I will make the descendants of David my servant and the Levites who minister before me as countless as the stars of the sky and as measureless as the sand on the seashore (Jer. 33:22).
