The Heritage boys' soccer team defeated Loganville 2-1 Tuesday night, for its fourth straight win.

The Patriots have been on a roll as of late winning eight of their last nine, playing to a draw in the other.

Tuesday night, Delvin Bickham and Mauricio Reyes scored a goal each to lead Heritage to an 8-0 mark in Region 8-AAAA. The Patriots, however, left other goal-scoring chances on the field, unable to finish.

"We played well on defense, but couldn't finish multiple one-v-one situations to wrap up the game," Heritage coach Brandon Stewart said.

Stewart added that the Patriots need to tune up their finishing in the final third as they race toward a top seed in the region.

The Patriots host Salem Friday night.

"We still need to be sharper in the final third," Stewart said. "And we will be working on that for the rest of the season to get ready for the playoffs."

The Heritage girls' team opened the double header falling to Loganville 3-2.
