Fall is an exciting and refreshing time of year, although it doesn’t feel like it with the temperature still above normal. But if you look really hard you can actually see some of the trees starting to turn color ever so slightly.

One sure sign that fall is knocking at our door is the start of football season.

Last night Heritage and Salem started the season playing each other and Rockdale played at Winder –Barrow.

All three of our local high school teams provided us with plenty of fun and excitement last year. This year’s games should be no different.

We also look forward to the exciting performances our marching bands have in store for us at halftime and the spirit and pep delivered by our cheerleaders.

We wish all of our schools the best. Your play and the character you will show in playing brings honor not only to yourselves but to all of us who live in Rockdale County.
