The Conyers City Council stood firm this month as members stuck to their guns in dealing with the would-be developer of Centennial Village, who wanted to bend strict zoning regulations that were already approved.
We agree with council on this decision. This sends a clear message to developers that you either play by the same rules as everybody else, or you don't build. It's as simple as that.
We hope that Rockdale County follows the same strict guidelines as the economy improves and new developers wish to build in our community.
We have a great community; there is no reason why we can't keep it that way.
