Our thoughts: Chamber

The Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce officially unveiled its state of the art new headquarters this past week.
A large crowd from the community enjoyed hotdogs and desserts as they toured the new facility.

Much of the credit for the chamber finding this space, located on Green Street, goes to last year's chair Lorraine Harrison and former chair Mo Tally who led a committee that hammered out a fantastic deal for the chamber.

We are fortunate to have a solid progressive chamber here in our community. Much of the success is due to the steady guidance of President Fred Boscarino, who was named the chamber executive of the year last year in Georgia.

Under the current leadership of chairman Thua Barlay, the chamber is positioning itself to lead the business community as Rockdale County continues to grow.

We salute the chamber for its contribution to our community and for creating a center for the business community to continue to grow and prosper.
