Congratulations are in order for local attorney Thua Barlay.

Barlay, who just came off of a dynamic and successful year as Chair of the Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce and will soon assume the role of president of the Conyers Rotary, was named the Jerry Barboe Small Business Person of the Year by his peers at last week’s Chamber After Hours event.

Barley attacks every project he is involved with great enthusiasm. He credited his wife Andrea for supporting him as he gives back to the community.

The Chamber’s small business award is named after Jerry Barboe who was well known in the community for his active volunteerism and has been awarded by the Chamber for the past 26 years.
