Going into the first round of state as underdogs, Salem (No. 3 seed from its region) and Rockdale (No. 4 seed from its region) both were one and done in the playoffs.

Salem went up to play a tough Dalton team and lost 23-6, after trailing 7-6 at the half. The Seminoles stout defense wasn't enough, and Salem's terrific season is over after not making the playoffs the past couple of years.

Rockdale had easily the toughest matchup of the two teams. Colquitt County is the No. 1 seed in the 6-AAAAAA playoffs and they played like it. Colquitt blowed out Rockdale 62-12 ending the Bulldogs season.
