Mike Shropshire, of Covington, passed away Dec. 7, at the age of 62.
He loved riding his Harley and cooking. He coached Little League football for many years and was a true Falcons and Georgia Bulldog fan. Mike was always laughing and enjoyed playing his drums. He could play "Wipeout" like no other. He also enjoyed his job and was a dedicated worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Glynn and Helen Louise (Thomason) Shropshire; nephew, Jeffrey Patterson.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Shropshire, who he affectionately called "Sugah"; children and their spouses, Michael, Jr. and Kathy Shropshire, Natalie and Allen Martin all of Covington, Laurie Flow of Lula, Ga., Shannon and Jody Sorrow also of Covington; stepchildren and their spouses, Paige Lundy of Monroe, Tim, Jr. and Angela Stinchcomb, Lane and Angel Stinchcomb all of Covington; grandchildren, Tanner Martin, Luke Ledford, Roman Flow, Brantley Sorrow, Camryn Gwaltney, Mariah Stinchcomb, Lanie Jo Knight, Hunter Stinchcomb, Harlie Stinchcomb, Maddie Mask, Hudson Stinchcomb; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Charlie Thompson of Covington, Judy and Dan Hatch of Trussville, Ala.; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Jake.
Funeral Services for Mike were held Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Rev. Mike Wadley officiated, and interment followed in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
