Men in bandanas attempted to rob an overnight cleaning crew gunpoint in the early driving off after

According to Conyers Police Department Chief David Cathcart, a worker was going out the door around 4:30 a.m. when he was approached by a black male, dressed in all black, with a black baseball hat and a blue bandana as a face mask and carrying a black duffle bag. He pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and told the man to get back in the restaurant. There was one other cleaning crew member in the building as well.

The victim told the would-be robber that he didn’t have any money didn’t have a way to get money and that he was just the cleaning guy there. By that time, a second suspect had come up from behind the building, also dressed in all black with a red bandana tied around his face.

When the suspects realized they weren’t going to get any money out of the situation, they ran out of the store and into a red Ford focus driven by a third person wearing a white T-shirt.

"The vehicle was described as a red Ford Focus. (The victims) were pretty certain about that," Cathcart said.

The car was last seen heading east on Dogwood Drive toward Salem Road. Anyone with information can contact the Conyers police at 770-929-4203.
