Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her daughter Marie Nelson and brother Larry Fitzmaurice. She was lovingly married to Norm for 27 years, and a mother to Patrick Nelson.
She is survived by sisters Beth (Pete) Doherty of Littleton, County, Kay (Marc) Kamp of Edwardsville, Ill.; brothers Jim Fitzmaurice of Alton, Ill.., and Mike (Lisa) Fitzmaurice of Gastonia, N.C.; sister-in-law Marcia Fitzmaurice of Dalton. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, Matthew, Brian and Sarah Kamp, Kristen and Michael Doherty, Alan Fitzmaurice, Dena (Andrew) Hurst, great niece Rachel Hurst, Maggie and Kate Fitzmaurice.
A Memorial service will be held at South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church, Jacksonville, Fla., with Dr. Vincent Kolb and Dr. Albert Myers officiating.
