A blood trail from a Conyers man has the Newton County Sheriff's Office investigating a stabbing that took place Monday evening at Greeleaf Road.
Dispatch received a penetrating trauma call at around 9:20 p.m.
According to NCSO deputy Felecia Johnson when deputies arrived the victim was "bleeding profusely from his arm."
According to reports the suspect said he was not sure who attacked him, and gave deputies conflicting reports.
Jefferson said deputies were able to trace the blood back to his apartment, where he continued to say he didn't know who stabbed him. Ultimately, the victim was transported to a local area hospital and treated for his injuries.
The case has been turned over to the NCSO criminal investigation division with one suspect.
