CONYERS - A Conyers teen was arrested this week for stabbing a man because he and others allegedly took her phone without permission early Sunday morning.
Katlyn Rawls, 18, is being charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery and for committing terroristic threats or acts.
According to the police report, witnesses told deputies Rawls was at a party in the 3800 block of Troupe Smith Road when the stabbing occurred around 12 a.m.
Rawls told deputies "some people tried to jump her and took her phone."
Rawls allegedly used a kitchen knife to attack the group and try to take her phone back. She wounded one Conyers resident, a man in his early 20s, on his forearm and may have damaged some of his tendons, according to Rockdale County Sheriff's Office Cpl. Michael Camp.
"He was the only one stabbed, but she was threatening to 'cut' people if she didn't get her phone back," Camp said.
When deputies arrived in the area, Rawls was found near the intersection of Troupe Smith Road and Quail Run. She was arrested and taken to Rockdale County Jail.
She's currently in jail with an $80,000 bond.
The phone was never recovered.
