A Stockbridge man was arrested outside the Conyers Wal-Mart last week after authorities allegedly found 12 debit cards belonging to other people in his possession.
Officers originally approached the vehicle because it was illegally parked and detected a strong odor of marijuana when the driver, Sonny Pierre, 32, of Stockbridge, rolled the window down to speak to officers.
According to the police report, officers located the debit cards, a small bag of marijuana, a glass pipe and four cell phones when searching the vehicle.
Pierre reportedly told officers the debit cards belonged to relatives in Haiti but he was unable to provide the names on the cards.
Officers also allegedly located two pieces of mail containing two additional debit cards not issued to Pierre. He was arrested and charged with financial card theft and possession of drug related objects.
