A local resident and registered sex offender was arrested Friday and charged with pimping after allegedly forcing two Memphis women to perform sexual acts for money at a Conyers motel.

Conyers police received a call from a concerned citizen on May 3 who stated he believed a 26-year-old female he knew was being held against her will.

The person allegedly holding the female against her will reportedly drove a green Mercedes with green wheels and green headlights, which officers identified as belonging to the owner or manager of Loving Care Cars on Dogwood Drive.

Dispatchers sent officers to a room at the Motel 6 on Dogwood Drive Friday where they found one woman, 26, who appeared to have been crying and one woman, 21, asleep.

The woman who appeared to have been crying said Stoney Williams, 31, of Winchester Way, and the other woman had picked her up in Memphis, Tenn. the previous Monday and brought her to Conyers, where she believed she would be working as a stripper at Club Wax.

The female told officers that Williams, whom she knew as Jay, left her alone at the America's Best Inn motel and several different men began knocking on her door.

She said that she did not open the door until Williams told her he knew the local sheriff and would get her in trouble if she didn't perform sex.

The female stated she then obeyed Williams and gave the money she earned, about $40 or $50 per customer, to another woman who gave it to him.

"I asked (the 26-year-old female) if the sex was consensual and she stated that it was not," wrote the reporting officer. "Jay made her feel like she did not have a choice because he controlled her money and had her driver's license."

The 21-year-old woman, also from Memphis, told officers she had met Williams a week earlier and didn't have any money but was told she could make money by working with him. Williams would reportedly have men call her cell phone and she would meet them for sex.

Williams was arrested 8:50 a.m. Friday and charged with two counts of trafficking of persons.

He had previously been convicted of pandering by compulsion, or distributing obscene material, in June 2009 and was registered on the sex offender list in Rockdale.
