Mr. James Butterworth, age 82 of Covington, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Estelle Butterworth and sister, Jeanette Lunsford. He is survived by his wife, Pat Butterworth, Covington; son, Jimmy Butterworth, Covington, son and partner, Jeffrey Butterworth and Mark Reasons, Phoenix AZ; daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Jimmy Bryant, Seneca, SC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charlie and Helen Butterworth, Cumming, Bill and Shirley Butterworth, Dunwoody, Paul and Joyce Butterworth, Resaca; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Mr. Butterworth was an active member, deacon, trustee, and Sunday School teacher at Heritage Hills Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and his family. His special hobbies were playing church softball and fishing. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 16, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Rev. Doug Ferguson officiating; interment will be Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Green Lawn Cemetery, Roswell. Family will receive friends Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
