The City of Conyers Department of Court Services announced new office hours beginning Monday, October 5 when the department will be open weekdays from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The Department of Court Services is responsible for all municipal court, probation and community service functions of the City of Conyers. For the past three months the department had operated Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and added Saturday hours on a trial basis from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Due to low turnout during Saturday hours and feedback from customers, staff in the court services office determined it best to stay open later on weeknights.

"In an effort to be more accessible to those that need to visit us to pay fines and take care of court business, we have adjusted our hours to be open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m.," said Director of Court Services Vicki Judd. "We hope this will be a better fit for our customers and our staff."

The Department of Court Services was created in March 2003 for the purpose of consolidating all court related services and initiating an in-house probation and community service program.
