Service to their country: The American Legion Post 77 set up an informational display in honor of Black History Month. The service men and women highlighted range from the Civil War era to today. Displayed are photos of Gen. C. Powell, Gen. Davis, the Tuskegee Airmen, two of the first Black female generals, the first Black West Point cadet, who was from Thomasville, and Navy sailor Doris Miller who was awarded the Navy Cross for his action at Pearl Harbor.
