Heritage will have to wait another day to find out its 2012 baseball playoff fate.
The Patriots split Thursday's doubleheader with Madison County, dropping the first game 6-0 before winnning the nightcap 10-0.
Heritage, the No. 2 seed in Region 8-AAAA was shut down in the first game by Madison's Brock Turner. The Patriots only hit was a bunt on their very first at bat of the game.
The second game, however was a different story.
The Patriots scored two runs in the first inning, two in the second and one in the third before putting five on the board in the fifth inning.
"We've got kids of great character," Heritage coach Jason Borcerding sad. "The kids know character is revealed when you're down. We have a group of very high character kids and they responded like you're supposed to."
