Mrs. Gladys Baker Harper, age 70 of Morrow, died Sunday, October 2, 2011. She is survived by her husband, Willie Harper, Sr., Morrow; sons and daughters-in-law, Willie Harper, Jr., Lithonia, Alvin Harper, Morrow, Anthony Harper, Morrow, Godfrey and Pamela Harper, Griffin, George and Valerie Harper, Ellenwood, Pondexter and Lisa Harper, Lithonia; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Jerry Gilbert, Morrow; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddie and Sadie Baker, FL, Horace and Consuelo Baker, Major Baker, Jr., Freddie and Sarah Baker, all of Elberton, Thomas Baker Conyers; sisters and brothers-in-law, Fannie and Leroy Banks, Sr., Elberton, Hattie and Lougene Williams, Fallbrook, CA, Gloria Statom, Shirley Baker, Erma Baker, all of Elberton; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Harper was a lifetime member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 7, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Pastor Harold Cooper, Pastor Robert Melson and Pastor Eric Powell officiating; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens.
