Memorial donation: Conyers/Covington McDonald's owner/operators Bruce Vineyard and Lynn Vineyard Miller presented a $500 check May 7 to Veterans War Memorial President/COB Tommy Clack to help fund the "Walk of Heroes Veterans War Memorial" being erected at Black Shoals Park in north Rockdale County, overlooking Randy Poynter Lake. The donation was part of the Grand Re-Opening celebration at McDonald’s of Conyers on Klondike Road, which opened in 1974 as Rockdale’s first McDonald’s and was recently rebuilt.
