The Friends of the Nancy Guinn Memorial Library celebrates its 30th anniversary this year nuturing and growing the vital community asset that is today's library. In the words of 19th century author Mark Twain, where he assured his mother that he was spending time in good company at the library: “If books are not good company, where will I find it?”

The Friends of Nancy Guinn Library are volunteers who believe that, as the center of the community, the public library provides vital and diverse intellectual, cultural, educational, social, and recreational resources. They are library supporters who serve as liaisons to elected officials, library administration and trustees.

The Friends also sponsor monthly book sales on the second Saturday of every month. The sales include non-fiction, textbooks, young adult and children’s books, world literature, and a wide selection of popular fiction genres, such as mystery, romance, science fiction, fantasy, thrillers, and so much more. Book sale proceeds benefit the community by supporting additional material purchases and program funding for the Nancy Guinn Library.

Join and meet new friends. The Friends of Nancy Guinn Library need your assistance in readying the books for the monthly book sales and other fun activities. Membership is $10 for an individual and $20 for an entire family. Join and receive 50 percent off all purchases and an invitation to the yearly private sale for Friends of Nancy Guinn Library.
