A former Rockdale County finance director and current Madison County finance director was arrested and charged with public drunkenness in an incident at The Pointe bar in Conyers on Jan. 21, shortly before midnight.

According to Conyers Police Department reports, when the responding officer arrived, he found Mia Ivey Wilson staggering across Warehouse Street and detected the smell of alcohol. As Wilson was placed under arrest, the officer found a handgun on her person and secured that for safe keeping.

Customers at the Pointe had reportedly complained about Wilson taking pictures and videos of them with her cell phone and had been asked to stop. A bar employee asked her to leave after the third time. "Wilson stated after she was asked to leave she advised the bartender she would have to be dragged from the business," wrote the reporting officer.

The complainant at the bar told police that she had not seen Wilson in over two years but that Wilson had harassed her in the past.
